 THANKS FOR EVERYTHINGDirected by Frank Aron Gårdsø With an atmosphere resembling the Scandinavian films of early expressionism and a plot like a Tolstoian novel, this character-driven short portrays two heroes searching the meaning of life and being ultimately defeated by the absurdity of it. |  MAN IS CRUELDirected by Gustav Bondeson This highly-charged short depicts the tense moments of a young sect member that has to act upon his beliefs. |  CARRIEDirected by Giorgia Brandolese The music clip shows the potential of a director that is able to make good use of the audiovisual language and techniques, but who needs to give a greater deal of consideration to detail and plot structure. |

This educational short with beautifully crafted graphics tells a quirky story about a young race horse that can’t find motivation. |  THE SUIT - HOLLYWOOD, EP. 6Directed by Clemy Clarke Part of a web series about actors experiencing casting calls, this short manages to make a point about the struggles of young artists looking for confirmation through an absurd, but an ingenious story: the actors get to experience the real life situations they were enacting. |  THE TERRORIST - HOLLYWOOD, EP. 1Directed by Clemy Clarke We appreciate the capacity to tell a good story using limited production resources and also the venturesome shooting script. |
 WHAT WAS HE LIKE?Directed by Christian Wenger Like in William’s Faulkner’s short story “A Rose for Emily”, the protagonist, Christine, refuses to let go of her life partner. Christine chooses to share her solitude with an animated corpse rather than reaching the outside world. |  PURE MADNESS"Pure Madness" is a visually compelling film with an innovative structure. It is composed of disparate sequences that show the evolution of a tormented character by illustrating his thoughts and moods. |  I SPY WITH MY LITTLE EYE“I Spy With My Little Eye” is a heart-warming story about how human closeness can reinforce hope. (...) Though the story is simple, the plot is well-developed and the dialogue is smart and imaginative. The stylistic choices help us understand the inner struggle of each character. |
